The outside view of the cafe Chee Meng Cafe is located at Argyll Road and they only serve 1 stall Wan Tan Mee. According to the owner, the noodles are handmade fresh each day and they are usually sold out by noon. The cafe is located right opposite a Caltex petrol station so it's not that hard to spot it. As a side note,Wan Tan means dumplings and Mee means noodles, so Wan Tan Mee literally means dumpling noodles, Wan Tan Mee The Wan Tan served by the stall tasted ok but it lacked a wow factor, but the noodles on the other hand were really springy and the texture was really nice to chew on. Furthermore, the sauce that came with the noodles had a certain lard aroma that was really fragrant but at the same time not being too overpowering. The stall also sells baby Bak Choy as a side dish, I'm not really a fan of Bak Choy, but the vegetables were cooked just right and they had a crispy sort of crunch to it making every bite feel satisfying with each munch. Ah Wang Cafe The Entrance I recently discovered this new coffee shop stall in the Tanjung Bungah area, and it was pretty hard to find as it was quite hidden within the flats surrounding it. The coffee shop is called Ah Wang Cafe and is a small Hainanese owned stall that only serves Eggs and Toast and drinks, but don't let it's small exterior put you off your appetite, this stall serves some of the best eggs and toast on the island. The 3 main types of bread that are sold - Roti Kaya, Roti Butter, and lastly Roti Kahwin. Roti Kaya means bread spread with kaya (coconut jam), Roti Butter is bread spread with butter while Roti Kahwin means bread spread with both butter and kaya. Fun fact, Kahwin means marriage in Bahasa Melayu, therefore Roti Kahwin is referring to the marriage between butter and kaya. When I eat Roti Canai, there are 2 factors that I usually take into account that contribute to their overall tastiness, the first thing is the Roti Canai itself and the second is the "kuah" or curry that comes with it. Johor? Why Johor? Well, as many of you may not know , I spent 3 years in Johor so I just thought I might share some of the tasty stuff that I have tried in Johor. Yeah I know what they say about Johor food - overpriced and disgusting, well as a person who has stayed in Johor for 3 years I must say that this fact isn't entirely true as there are truly some nice places in Johor that would give Penang food a run for their money.  For the most part of my stay in Johor i stayed in the EDUCITY area (for those of you who do not know where it is, it's just right next to Legoland), as advertised this Johor food review is mostly catered to people living in the EDUCITY area which is mostly comprised of students. The area is quite some distance away from the city where all the fun is, but fear not as an adventurous man I have made int my mission to try as much stuff in the EDUCITY area as possible.  So expect some food reviews from Johot to come soon!
